Rincón de la Vieja National Park prices starting at $85
Rincon de la Vieja, the largest volcano in the country's northwest, comprises a remote volcanic Complex in the Guanacaste Range. At least nine eruptive vents are located within a 15-kilometerwide cauldron. The twin cone of 1,916 meter Santa Maria volcano, the highest peak of the Rincon complex, features an inactive crater 500 meters across. Natural hot springs, virgin forests, jungle waterfalls and volcanic mud pots are just some of the many attractions tourists can enjoy during a visit to this place. The attractions are protected in the 14,083-hectare Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park, which extends from 650 to 1,965 meters in elevation on both the Caribbean and Pacific flanks of the cordillera. The two sides differ markedly in rainfall and vegetation. The Pacific side has a distinct dry season. The Caribbean side is lush and wet year-round, with as much as 500 cm of rainfall falling annually on higher slopes. The park is known for its profusion of orchid species. The diverse conditions foster panoply of wildlife species. More than 300 species of birds include quetzals, toucan, the elegant trogon, eagles, three wattled bellbirds, and the curassow. Mammals include cougars, howler, spider, and white-faced monkeys, sloths, tapirs, tayras, and even jaguars.

Tenorio River Rafting prices starting at $139
The Tenorio River will test your courage with its rapids class III and IV (irregular and medium waves, complex maneuverings in fast rapids in its class III; intense and powerful but yet predictable in the class IV). Horseback Riding to La Fortuna + Quads
This is a combination of horseback riding and quad adventure in this beautiful scenery. These horses are trained to take you all the way up to the waterfall trough green areas of pastures, forest and high hills. The views of San Carlos valleys and the Tropical Forest that surround the waterfall are spectacular. At the end of the road will let the horses and will walk dawn trough a trail all the way to the base of the water fall, which is 65 mts. high.
This fantastic area is very quiet and special to relax and enjoy a good time. Here you can always swim in its natural pool.

Arenal Volcano Hike
Before the active period of 1968, a lavish canopy vegetation covered the Arenal Volcano. People that climbed Arenal’s summit related that inside the crater there were big trees and at night, they slept in places where there was some heat due to small steam outlets.
Right now, the green area is located at the east side of the Mountain and other little green parts can be seen on the north and south of the volcano. Enjoy the most extraordinary view of the Arenal volcano on a gentle Hike along the base of this marvelous “Mountain of fire”.
The hike begins in one of the trails to the volcano, this trail will take us through the forest over recent lava flows and the area destroyed in 1968 now in the process of regeneration. We are going to be on this trail for about two and a half hours.

Sky Tram
It’s a high technology cableway that includes a ride of 1600 meters (both ways) with altitudes between 1400 and 1600 m.a.s.l. The Sky Tram will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains of Monteverde.

Sky Tram is a guided tour and you can have the opportunity of intermediate the ride with short stops to observe the cloud forest biodiversity, the Arenal, Tenorio, Miravalles and Orosi volcanoes, the Nicoya gulf, and the Guanacaste plain if the weather allows it. Sky Trek is a system of zip lines ranging from mountain to mountain, which together have a distance of 2.5 miles of linear cable.

Hanging Bridges
Selvatura's Treetop Walkways is a 1.9 mile (approximately 3 kilometer) trail that crosses through Monteverde's Cloud Forest .

Here our visitors will walk on eight different bridges with various lengths ranging between 150 feet ( 50 meters ) up to 510 feet ( 170 meters ) and altitudes ranging between 36 feet ( 12 meters ) up to 180 feet ( 60 meters ).

Each bridge has a width of five feet, the widest bridges in the country, and also a capacity of up to 80 people per bridge making them both the longest and strongest bridge systems in Costa Rica and in the Cloud Forest. “Bocas del Toro Islands” are located right across the Costa Rican border in the Caribbean zone of Panama. The shuttle trip provides an introduction to the forest, as visitors pass a small river and numerous tree snags with nesting holes of various birds - the White Hawk is regularly seen here, as well as the Pale-billed Woodpecker and many others.

The Open-sided cable-cars hold 5 passengers and a guide. The guides are quite knowledgeable about flora and fauna. They'll point out orchids and different species of trees and are quick to identify the calls of the many birds that inhabit this unique environment.

The tram ride lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. The lower, outbound leg of the tram journey takes you skimming over hilltops and in and out of the sub-canopy, a dark world of overburdened tree limbs dripping with mosses, ferns, and orchids. Lianas and vines drape over branches and traverse forest spaces, and act as highways for birds and insects. The ride will stop several times as passengers board at either loading station.

The return leg of the ride reveals the most dramatic portion of the trip as the cars glide on a breath-taking journey through and above the airy canopy.
